Accommodation-sharing platform Airbnb is offering the chance for brick lovers and their families to spend a night at the Bjarke Ingels-designed LEGO House in Billund, Denmark.
Lego fanatics may have only dreamed of sleeping among 25 million LEGO bricks, under the roof of a real-size LEGO House where play is mandatory and neverending. Now their dreams may be about to come true if they just enter Airbnb’s competition and give the best description ever of what they’d build if they had an infinite supply of Lego bricks.
On November 24, the winner and respective family will be invited to Billund, Denmark, where they’ll have the Lego place to themselves for the night as well as a private expedition around the building led by Lego Master Builder, Jaimie Berard.
Besides learning top-secret Lego tips from the best, these special guests will get to do all sorts of activities including building their own meal orders out of Lego bricks and then and be served by two friendly robot waiters, visiting all the attractions at the Lego House and even learn more about the Lego history and its most iconic sets ever produced.
As if that wasn’t fun enough, they’ll also get to sleep (or maybe just be amazed and not sleep at all) in a bed floating on a pool of bricks and underneath a 6-meter-tall LEGO waterfall. Everything in the bedroom will be made out of LEGO bricks: armchairs, lamps, the alarm clock, the TV, and even the cat.
If you are reading this and already imagining yourself diving into that colourful pool of bricks or having nice chats with the robot waiters, you might want to snap out of that and start thinking about submitting your Lego dream creation, as the final date for entries is on November 16 of 2017.
